KOWTOW NAARM
Kowtow Naarm articulates the lifecycle of cotton through a design that embraces simplicity and material richness, reflecting the brand’s ‘off-grid’ philosophy.
Housed in a mid-nineteenth-century commercial building on Gertrude Street, the two-level interior is defined by a pared-back palette of thoughtfully chosen, ethically sourced natural materials. Floor-to-ceiling Spotted Gum joinery, coarse Limewash plaster walls, suspended Kozo washi panels, reclaimed timber cabinetry, and textiles of linen and wool create a sense of warmth and quiet refinement. A refinished Victorian Ash floor further grounds the space in its surroundings.
More than a boutique, Kowtow Naarm represents an optimistic vision for fashion retail—one rooted in sustainability. The space invites customers to engage with the brand in a meaningful way, offering a tangible connection to Kowtow’s values and approach.
